Internship Studio Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Internship Studio is a Chrome extension for saving and tracking internship applications. This policy describes version 1.5.2, which stores application records locally and exports CSV reports.
Information the extension handles
When you click Save this job, the extension reads the selected page’s URL, title, and available job details. These may include the company, role, company logo address, job location, work arrangement, deadline, compensation, internship period, and recruiter contact name or email address.
It also stores information you enter or import, including application status, dates, notes, contact details, resume version labels, and priority. Defaults and whether you have completed the quick guide are saved locally. Incomplete captures may be held temporarily in browser session storage.
The extension does not collect your general browsing history, passwords, authentication cookies, device location, or activity analytics. A saved job location describes the job; it is not obtained from your device’s GPS. The extension does not read your resume files; the resume field is a text label.
How information is used
Information is used to save and display your applications, capture job details, track statuses and upcoming dates, apply your defaults, and create the CSV reports or JSON backups you request.
Internship Studio uses information obtained through Chrome APIs in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is not sold, used for advertising, used for unrelated purposes, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Storage and developer access
Application records and preferences are stored in the local Chrome profile using Chrome’s storage APIs. They are not uploaded to a developer-operated server or automatically synced between devices. No account is required. The developer cannot remotely view your saved applications through the extension.
Local storage is protected by your browser, operating system, and device access controls. The extension does not add its own encryption layer. Exported CSV and JSON files are readable files; store and share them with care.
External images, links, and exports
When a company logo is displayed, the browser may request the image from its original website or image hosting provider. That provider may receive your IP address and browser request information. The extension sets a no-referrer policy on these image requests. It does not upload your application database to the image provider.
Opening a saved job link takes you to an external website, whose own privacy practices apply. The extension does not include advertising or analytics services.
CSV reports and JSON backups are downloaded to your device only when you request them. The extension does not automatically send reports to Google Sheets or another service. If you upload or share an exported file yourself, the recipient’s privacy practices apply.
Retention and your choices
Application records remain in your browser until you delete them, remove the extension, or clear the relevant browser profile data. You can view and edit an application by selecting it in the workspace, delete it from its details form, or export your records using CSV download or backup.
Select application checkboxes and choose Delete selected to remove several records together. Use Settings & backup → Delete all data to remove all saved applications, preferences, and temporary drafts after confirmation. Deleting a record or removing the extension does not delete previously downloaded or shared copies. You control those files separately. Temporary session drafts are cleared when the browser session ends and are removed after the workspace reads them.
Policy updates
This policy will be updated if the extension’s data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
Contact
For privacy questions, contact the publisher using the contact details displayed on Internship Studio’s Chrome Web Store listing. If you send a support message, the recipient receives the information you choose to include. Do not send private application records unless needed for your request.
